White Measure
White Measure
Philodendron hybrida
EASYCARE SCORE ® :
White Measure is a variegated Philodendron variant that is both very popular and very easy to care for. It is called "White Measure" because of the white stripes on the leaves that almost resembles the lines on a measuring tape. The older a plant, the more stripes it usually gets.
Botanical name: Philodendron hybrida
Care
Watering: A White Measure is fond of being watered on a regular basis, but make sure the soil dries out between waterings. Usually it needs water once a week during summer and once every two weeks during winter.
Location: Put your White Measure in a light spot, but avoid leaving it in direct sunlight most of the day, especially during summer, because it will be difficult to keep the soil from drying out for too long.
Temperature: White Measure thrives at roomtemperatures from 15-30 °C.
NOTE:Though it may be hard to believe, the White Measure is actually cultivated from the dark-red philodendron variant 'Rojo Congo'. If you are lucky, the plant might mutate back to its origin and you will have an even more variegated plant with both red and green leaves.
